PUBLIC NOTICE BY BAY COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Under the Hurricane Housing Recovery Program (HHRP) and
State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program (SHIP)
Bay County Board of County Commissioners announces the following housing program notice of funding.
2023 HHRP ALLOCATION OF APPROXIMATELY $500,000
(A MAXIMUM OF $40,000 PER UNIT)
NON-PROFIT RENTAL HOUSING CONSTRUCTION OR REHABILITATION STRATEGY
This strategy will provide funding for the purchase of new construction housing, the purchase of existing housing, and the rehabilitation of, or additions to, existing housing that is group home housing. Priority goes to Special Needs housing groups as noted in Section 420.0004, Florida Statues, including, adult persons with a disabling condition, young adults formerly in foster care, survivors of domestic violence, and applicants receiving SSI or a disability benefit. Provided the Special Needs Strategy is met. Priority will be given to non-profit agencies that have applied/received Florida Housing Finance Corporation funding for the development of the project application they submit to the County. This strategy funds non-homeownership housing initiatives. This strategy is not restricted to a geographical location but must be located within Bay County.
Applications will be accepted at the Bay County Government Center, Bay County Housing Services Division, 840 W. 11th Street, 3rd Floor, Panama City, Florida, 32401, effective Monday, March 6, 2023, through Monday, April 7, 2023.
