Bay County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) Announces
Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) Volunteer Opportunities
Under the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program (SHIP), the BOCC announces the following AHAC opportunities for interested applicants.
(1) Residential home building industry in connection with affordable housing,
(2) Citizen who represents essential services personnel;
(3) Advocate for low-income persons in connection with affordable housing
Appointed AHAC members shall serve a two-year term and makes recommendations to the BOCC on issues affecting affordable housing.
Applications are now available and will be accepted until Friday, April 21, 2023, at 4 PM. Applications can be obtained by contacting Tammy Harris, Housing Program Manager at 850-215-2479 or by emailing Tharris@baycountyfl.gov. Completed applications can be submitted by email, mail, or hand-delivery to Housing Services located at 840 W. 11 Street, Third Floor, Panama City, FL 32401.
SHIP funding is an annual allocation provided by Florida Housing Finance Corporation and encourages active partnerships between government, lenders, builders and developers, real estate professionals, advocates for low-income persons, and community groups to meet the needs of very-low, low and moderate-income households to expand and preserve affordable housing.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE will
meet on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 3:00 pm, at the Bay County Government Center, 3rd Floor,
Human Resources Training Room. The address is 840 W. 11th Street, Panama City, FL 32401.
The first of two (2) Public Hearings will take place to review the draft AHAC Incentive and Recommendations Report.
