The Bay County Board of County Commissioners (County) seeks bids from qualified contractors for the construction of approximately 1.2 miles of a 6-ft wide sidewalk along the north side of Front Beach Road (CR30) from SR 30A (US 98) Panama City Beach Parkway to Kelly Street. The project will consist of earthwork, erosion control, guardrail, curb and gutter, minor drainage improvements including but not limited to the grading of ditches/swales, signing and marking, storm inlets and storm pipes. Minor milling and resurfacing as well as minor asphalt paving is also included.
The Prime Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified in, under Rule Chapter 14-22, Florida Administrative Code, the following major classes of work: 1) Drainage, 2) Flexible Paving, 3) Grading, 4) Grassing, Seeding and Sodding, 5) Hot Plant-Mixed Bituminous Courses, 6) Pavement Markings, and 7) Roadway Signing. The Vendor shall be FDOT prequalified.
A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on 10:00 a.m. (CDT) Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in the Public Works Conference Room located at 840 W. 11th Street, Panama City, FL 32401.
ELECTRONIC/SEALED BIDS for ITB NO: 23-21 CR30 Front Beach Road Sidewalk Construction Project Phase III will be received by the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BAY COUNTY, FLORIDA at the Purchasing Department 840 W. 11th Street, Suite 2500, Panama City, FL 32401 up until 2:00 pm (CDT) Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Bids will be publicly opened immediately following the deadline.
Bids for this solicitation may be submitted either electronically via the County’s Bonfire Web portal or by paper, sealed and delivered to the Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Department, at 840 W. 11th Street, Suite 2500, Panama City, Florida 32401.
